Hulu Announced Price Hikes That Will Take Effect on October 10th

Hulu announced costs hikes for subscription plans beginning October 10. Hulu subscription prices will rise from $12.99 to $14.99 per month, with the basic ad-supported plan increasing from $6.99 to $7.99 per month and $79.99 per year. In addition, the cost of Hulu with Live TV will rise to $82.99.

Hulu is the most affordable of all streaming providers. Even after raising the price, users can still afford the Hulu Service. Hulu notified all subscribers of the price increase via email. They barely rose by $2 each month.

Due to Hulu pricing hikes, the Disney+ and ESPN+ small bundles will also change. In December, the monthly cost of Disney+ will increase from $7.99 to $10.99. And ESPN Plus has already raised its membership price to $9.99 beginning in August 2022.

Netflix, like Hulu, stated that the ad-supported option will be available in November. Furthermore, Hulu’s pricing increases will bring it closer to competing streaming services like HBO Max and Netflix. HBO Max, on the other hand, costs $9.99 per month (ad-supported) and $14.99 per month (ad-free). Netflix has a monthly fee of $19.99. Users may move to alternatives to Hulu when prices rise.
